iv)YOUTH CABINET QUESTION AND ANSWER SESSION

Members of the RBWM Youth Council will attend the Conference to understand more about Parishes and the work of Parish Councillors and how more young people can get involved, through an information sharing, question and answer discussion session.

ORGANICS ROLLOUT

Terry Gould, the Royal Borough’s Head of Public Protection will be in attendance to provide information on the Borough’s rollout of organic waste recycling

There will be an opportunity for questions.
vi)LOCALISATION OF COUNCIL TAX SUPPORT

Andrew Brooker, the Royal Borough’s Head of Finance, will be in attendance to provide an update on the localisation of Council Tax and the impact on Parish Councils

PARISH PRESENTATION – OLD WINDSOR

Parish Councillor Ralph Green from Old Windsor Parish Council will present on the parish’s successful funding bids.

BROADBAND

Harjit Hunjan, the Royal Borough’s Community and Business Partnerships Manager will be in attendance to provide information on broadband access in the Borough. (page 10)

LOCAL TRANSPORT PLAN

Gordon Oliver, the Royal Borough’s Principal Transport Policy Officer will be present to provide information on the Borough’s Local Transport Plan.

There will be an opportunity for discussion and questions.
x)PRESENTATION AT NEXT CONFERENCE

The Conference will no doubt recall that, at the Conference meeting in June 2007, it was agreed that there should be an opportunity for Parish and Town Councils to share their experiences and successes in relation to projects and schemes that they may be involved in.

Hence, the Conference is invited to agree the presentation for the next Conference in February 2013.

25 February 2013 (Guildhall, Windsor)


N.B. In consultation with the Chairman of DALC, it was agreed that one issue would be dealt with by way of an information leaflet rather than a discussion item for the agenda. This will be available at the meeting.
