    55/09 APOLOGIES FOR ABSENCE

    An apology for absence was received from Councillor Mrs Kemp.

    56/09 DECLARATIONS OF INTEREST

    Councillor J Evans declared a personal interest in the Flood Monitoring Report due to a portion of his land being effected by the report.

    57/09 MINUTES
      RESOLVED: That the minutes of the meetings held on 15 November 2009 be approved subject to the following amendments –
        Ø That it was noted Councillors Mrs Knight and Rayner were in attendance.
        Ø Flood Monitoring Report – under bullet point 1 the first sentence should read “In relation to the Lower Thames Flood Risk Strategy (LTRS) the Environment Agency (EA) consultation closed on 4 December 2009.
        Ø Flood Monitoring Report – bullet point 2 be amended to read “A Member was concerned that there was a large difference in the consultation’s flood risk map with the Development Control High Risk Flood Zone 3 to concern members, as if building on this land severely restricted due to being a high risk flood area, the LTFRMS should show a far larger area.”


    58/09 PETITION: SPEEDING AND TRAFFIC CALMING IN CHARTERS ROAD, SUNNINGDALE

    Members considered the report being submitted to Cabinet on 17 December 2009 on the Petition: Speeding and traffic calming in Charters Road, Sunningdale and noted that there was potential for alternative road safety measures, in particular temporary Speed Indicator Devices (SID) being deployed on a regular basis, regular speed checks undertaken on Charters Road in conjunction with the Police and Thames Valley Safer Roads Partnership.

    The Panel agreed that the Lead Petitioner should be kept informed on a regular basis of all measures being proposed in relation to speeding and traffic calming. The Panel also agreed that an Officer respond to the Lead Petitioner, Mr Keane, following his comments to this Panel.

    The Panel noted that a total of 42 signatures on the petition and were advised that there had been no reported accidents in the last 5 years in Charters Road. The Panel were aware that any traffic calming to be installed, could potentially take anything up to 6 months to implement.

    RESOLVED UNANIMOUSLY: That Cabinet be advised the Panel agreed the recommendation and endorsed the report.


    59/09 SERVICE MONITORING REPORT

    Members considered the report being submitted to Cabinet on 17 December 2009 on the Service Monitoring Report and unanimously resolved that Cabinet be advised the Panel endorsed the report, due to there being no changes since the previous Service Monitoring Report.
            RESOLVED UNANIMOUSLY: That Cabinet be advised that the Panel endorsed the report


    LOCAL GOVERNMENT ACT 1972 – EXCLUSION OF THE PUBLIC

    To consider passing the following resolution:-

    "That under Section 100 (A) (4) of the Local Government Act 1972, the public be excluded from the remainder of the meeting whilst discussion takes place on items 7, 8 and 9 on the grounds that it involves the likely disclosure of exempt information as defined in Paragraph 6 of Part I of Schedule 12A of the Local Government Act 1972”
