Purpose:

The existing lease expires during 2023.
Terms have been agreed for a new lease to run from the end of the existing lease.
Included in the lease terms is the ability of the Council to re-enter the land to undertake repair to Cookham Bridge
The first phase of the repairs for Cookham Bridge are due to commence in October 2023 and a plan to allow these works whilst maintaining the operation of the tenant has been agreed.
In addition an option has been agreed to use land owned by the tenant as a compound if required by the Council to carry out future phases of work to Cookham Bridge

Decision:

That Cabinet noted the report and:

i)               Delegated authority to the Executive Director of Place Services in consultation with the Cabinet Member for Planning, Legal and Asset Management, to conclude the renewal of the lease over land at Cookham Bridge and Toll House, Cookham.
