To appoint Focus Washrooms as main contractor
for the refurbishment and upgrade of toilets at Wessex Primary
School.
Reasons for the decision:
A tendering exercise has been carried out, in
compliance with the borough's constitution, to find the contractor
for the works at Wessex Primary School.
Alternative options considered:
Alternative tenders could have been approved,
but the tender exercise found that Focus Washrooms were the best
option. The do nothing option would mean not appointing a
contractor and halting the upgrade and refurbishment of the
toilets, which would then eventually fail.

A budget for contingency is included within
the project costs.

The budget for the (grant funded) works has
been approved and is in the Council's capital programme.
