PUT AN IMMEDIATE HALT TO THE NEW PARKING SCHEME ON CHOBHAM ROAD, SUNNINGDALE
RBWM proposes to spend £240K creating 13 parking spaces on
the Chobham Road, Sunningdale outside Costa Coffee - a net gain of
5 spaces.
Parking bays will be at 90 degrees to Chobham Road - resulting in
road safety issues and traffic mayhem with vehicles reversing onto
what is already a busy through road.
There has been no formal consultation.
Six trees and the grass verge will be removed and replaced with
tarmac instead.
We all want to have a successful shopping facility in Sunningdale
that is both safe and benefits business as well as the public but
consider this plan achieves none of these and other alternatives
must be explored.
