Seek urgent clarification as to the impact of Heathrow’s proposals, contained within their current consultation on Airspace and Future Operations, on the future operation of the historic, and much-valued, White Waltham Airfield and to commit to (cont)
The impact of the proposals contained within Heathrow's consultation on Airspace and Future Operations has called into question the future of White Waltham Airfield, as evidenced by the comments made by Mark Green, deputy airfield manager. Namely; changes to Heathrow's operations which could see planes flying as low as 1,700ft over the airfield. This would be low enough to effectively hinder the operation of the airfield to the extent that it may have to close. As such, we are calling on the Royal Borough to seek urgent clarification from Heathrow on this and to work to ensure that any proposal does not detrimentally impact upon White Waltham Airfield so that it can remain open as a commercially viable airfield for future generations to enjoy.
