The stretch of road referred to above is currently 60mph and cars have been recorded as travelling up to 99.3mph. Numerous speed related accidents have resulted in serious injury. Recently a dustman was hit by a car sustaining major injuries, cars have crashed through property fences and one car drove into a house partially demolishing it. There are many vulnerable road users that use this stretch including pedestrians, equestrians and cyclists and the road is used as a racetrack by many irresponsible users. There are over 20 dwellings along this road, a working farm, stables and an allotment (20 allotments) these are mostly concealed entrances. We fear exiting our own homes at any time of the day including taking our children to school. We fear that it is only a matter of time before another serious injury or a death occurs as a result of the inappropriate speed limit along this length of road. This stretch of road, which is circa 1km long, is the only stretch of the A4094 that has a speed limit higher than 40mph.
