We are angry with the closure of the footpath. Also, that due process appears not to have been followed. Yes, the closure was published in the paper twice. Residents are alarmed to the speed of the closure & that the footpath will be closed until 24/07. Only for the benefit of a property owner to carry out some building work. The closure of the footpath was without communication & clear information. As a residents & user of this footpath I am concerned about ethics of this. The closure means residents especially elderly, disabled & parents with children who use this access to walk to town as an easier route have been inconvenienced. Residents have now got to trek up King's Grove which is more difficult for some in our community. The footpath also has a handrail which is vitally important for those whose mobility is a concern.
