Bus Service For Wraysbury

We the undersigned petition the Royal Borough of Windsor & Maidenhead to provide a bus service to all main roads in Wraysbury keeping residents connected with vital services including Datchet Health Centre as well as our two local villages of Horton and Datchet plus Windsor Town Centre. The borough has current funding to support this inline with the Government National Bus Strategy, if not, the bus service should be funded by RBWM.

Wraysbury has not had a bus service operating through its most populated residential area since the beginning of April 2021.
There is a No305 which goes into Staines and a No5 which goes into Slough and Heathrow Airport with stops in Datchet and Horton. These appear to work well for the communities they serve. Neither of these services is accessible to the majority of Wraysbury residents.
Our petition is for a regular bus service 7 days a week that operates a route from Windsor, Datchet into Wraysbury via Welley Road, Windsor Road, Staines Road, Hythe End, Staines Road, Wraysbury High Street, Station Road, Coppermill Road, Horton, Datchet ending back in Windsor…rather than the re-routing of an existing route.
This would assist passengers to pick up a connection with both the No305 and No5.
It is needed now so that all residents can move forward with their lives, including schooling for their children, visiting friends, relations, work, shopping, social events etc, including essential facilities such as Datchet Doctors Surgery.
