(1) revoke the decision made on 28 April 2015 to grant £480,000 of developer funding to Holyport College; (2) revoke the decision made on 28th April 2015 to advance council funds to Holyport College before any developer funding has been received (cont)
Councils and developers are allowed to enter into agreements to
mitigate the impact of new developments. On 28 April, the council
voted to allow Holyport College to receive a grant of £480K,
with a smaller amount to Furze Platt Senior School, from
anticipated developer funds relating to the redevelopment of the
former park and ride facility at Stafferton Way.
This grant allocation is inappropriate and unfair as children
living in the new development are unlikely to satisfy the admission
criteria of Holyport College and other maintained schools are much
closer.
Advancing council funds before developer funding is received
presents an unacceptable risk to current school funding.

Petition update 2 from the council, 24 July
2015 Please accept my apologies for the typographical
errors in the earlier message issued. I have amended as
below:
As you will no doubt be aware, this petition is to be debated at
the Full Council meeting scheduled for 28 July 2015 (7.30pm). The
Mayor has decided that, to ensure any member of the public wishing
to attend can do so, that the meeting will now take place in the
Desborough Suite, Maidenhead rather than the previously advertised
venue of the Guildhall, Windsor.
Please note the new venue if you plan to attend the meeting.
