Provide immediate funding to enable dog owners who fail to clean up after their pets to be tracked down using DNA tests, fined, and prevented from keeping dogs if they repeat offend

We the undersigned petition the Royal Borough of Windsor & Maidenhead to provide immediate funding to enable dog owners who fail to clean up after their pets to be tracked down using DNA tests, fined, and prevented from keeping dogs if they repeat offend.

Inspired by a post on a Facebook group with over 8000 maidenhead members, complaining about the health hazard caused by the amount of dog mess on Maidenheads streets, especially around schools including Altwood, Alwyn, Courthouse, around St Marks Hospital, Furze Platt Station, All Saints Avenue, Woodlands Park Avenue, Ray Park Avenue , Larchfield, Boyne Hill Avenue, & Spencer’s Road. We request that the council provide immediate funding to enable dog owners who fail to clean up after their pets to be tracked down using DNA tests, fined, and prevented from keeping dogs if they repeat offend. Barking and Dagenham Council have an initiative in place currently that perhaps you could consult them on.
