In the Autumn of 2017, the Breakers Yard and adjacent land on Gloucester Drive was sold to new owners. Since this time, the land adjacent to the breakers yard (Green belt/flood plain land) has been haphazardly cleared, removing all trees and shrubbery from the land, leaving it sparse and unsightly, and yielding unattractive views across open land to the Breaker's Yard. The land clearance has led to waste, including fencing and tyres, to be fly-tipped on the land, causing distress to local residents. We are seeking council support for the land to be tidied up, further fly tipping to be prevented, and the visual aspect of the land to be restored.
