Heathfield Avenue, Sunningdale: Review of Highway Conditions
Planning consent was granted (on appeal) for a
development at Woodlands Lodge and Boxwood House, Heathfield
Avenue, Sunningdale for erection of 10 apartments following the
demolition of the existing properties.
A condition of the planning consent is to widen Heathfield Avenue
in the proximity of the junction with Kings Road.
The area of land required to deliver the road widening is in
dispute. The developer (‘Millgate Homes’) has requested
the Royal Borough to exercise highway powers to enable the road
widening to be completed.
Cabinet are requested to review the legal background to this
request and resolve an appropriate way forward
